Morningside Ministries is excited to announce a significant gift that will aid in Morningside Ministries Senior Living Community, Morningside Ministries at the Manor‘s $3.5 million renovation. With Valero’s gift of $1 million, Morningside Ministries is now one step closer to reaching its goal for the biggest renovation the 53 year old senior living community has ever seen. Morningside Ministries and Valero Energy Foundation are now challenging the people and organizations of the San Antonio community to help support and donate the $2.5 million still needed to complete the renovation by the end of 2016. Valero’s gift will provide for the new spa facility for the residents, creating and ensuring a comfortable, soothing and dignifying bathing experience. The gift will also provide for 17 residents’ rooms to be refurnished with new mattresses, overbed tables, chest of drawers and television sets. Additional gifts are still needed for the renovation of a new covered driveway at the entrance of the community, 101 electric low beds, a nurse call system and new air conditioning units in residential living spaces.
