Three volunteer worship leaders were recently honored for their years of service at Morningside Ministries at The Manor. Together, Laine Lee, Mary Schoff, and Marian Reeves have significantly enhanced the worship services of residents for many years.
Laine Lee is an accomplished trombonist and vocalist whose mother resided at Kaulbach Assisted Living and The Manor until her death 5 years ago. Laine began attending and assisting in chapel services by playing trombone for special events and now provides a solo every week and leads the singing.
Mary Schoff is an accomplished vocalist whose mother resided at the Meadows and Kaulbach Assisted Living until her death 4 years ago. She attended the Sunday services and provides a solo every week. Mary leads the singing in the event Laine cannot attend.
Kaulbach resident Marian Reeves has been a volunteer and member of the Morningside Manor Auxiliary and the chapel organist for approximately 38 years. She continues to play for worship services on three nursing units.
“Sunday vesper services have been blessed by these volunteers whose musical talents enhance the worship for the residents and families of Kaulbach Assisted Living and Morningside Manor,” shares Chaplain Dennis Smith.
