Cibolo Residents Celebrate Local Police Officers

The Cibolo House Assisted Living community in Boerne, Texas welcomed members of the Boerne Police Department on January 9 in celebration of National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day.

More than 10 police officers visited with residents in the community dining room while enjoying bottomless cups of coffee and delicious pastries.

A heartfelt moment took place midway through the event as resident Anne Munk presented officers with a one-of-a-kind award plaque and a letter created and signed by Cibolo House residents. A visiting police officer said that both would be displayed in their police station as a reminder of the day they got to spend with the residents. a

The residents and staff have planned to host the event every year, as they all enjoyed visiting with the officers.

“I appreciate them taking the time to come and let us present them with the plaque and the letter, and to show our appreciation for them for taking care of us and keeping us safe,” Munk said.

Morningside is so grateful for the sacrifice and service police officers provide us. We thank them for their dedication.
