Scott Kercheville, MD
Dr. Scott Kercheville serves as Board Chair and is a retired anesthesiologist with more than 30 years of clinical and academic experience. He served on faculty at UT Health San Antonio and worked in healthcare policy with U.S. Senator John Cornyn. He also spent 25 years on medical missions to Honduras.
Scott Bryan
Scott Bryan currently serves on the Morningside Ministries Board of Directors and brings extensive healthcare governance experience. He held numerous leadership roles with Methodist Healthcare Ministries of South Texas and Methodist Healthcare System, including Chairman and Finance Committee Chair. Professionally, Scott spent more than 25 years in senior leadership roles within construction and equipment services and is an active community volunteer.
Rick Bluntzer
Rick Bluntzer has over 30 years of experience in government relations and public affairs. He currently manages Government Relations for the International Code Council across a five-state region. His career includes senior leadership roles with NRG, Just Energy, and the Lower Colorado River Authority. Rick is active in civic and historical organizations and resides in San Antonio with his wife, Anne.
Rt. Rev. Angela Cortiñas
The Rt. Rev. Angela Maria Cortiñas is Bishop Suffragan of the Episcopal Diocese of West Texas, elected in 2024. She holds degrees in environmental studies, city planning, and divinity, and previously worked in senior information systems leadership. Bishop Cortiñas has served congregations in Florida and Texas and resides in San Antonio.
Steve Darling
Steve Darling is an attorney with over 30 years of experience representing healthcare providers across Texas. He holds a B.S. in Biology and a J.D. and MBA from Texas Tech University. Steve is active in Rotary International and numerous nonprofit organizations and is currently of counsel to his law firm.
Jessica Drought
Jessica Drought is Vice President, Investment Advisor, at 1900 Wealth. A graduate of The University of Texas at Austin, she held leadership roles in investment management, portfolio management, client services, private equity, and investor relations..
Edward Garza
Edward “Ed” Garza is a consultant, civic leader, and former Mayor of San Antonio. He served two terms as mayor and currently serves on the SAISD Board of Trustees. Ed has more than 25 years of experience in urban planning, development, and public policy and resides in San Antonio with his wife, Anna Laura.
Rev. Greg Hackett
Rev. Greg Hackett is District Superintendent of the Las Misiones District of the Rio Texas Conference of the United Methodist Church. He holds degrees from Morningside College and Perkins School of Theology at SMU. Rev. Hackett currently serves on the Methodist Healthcare Ministries Board and focuses on addressing poverty and community disparities.
Bob McCullough
Bob McCullough is a retired senior executive with leadership experience at H-E-B, PepsiCo, and Procter & Gamble. A West Point graduate and former U.S. Army officer, he retired from H-E-B as Senior Vice President of Manufacturing and Quality Assurance and has served on numerous national nonprofit boards.
Thomas A. “Tock” McRae
Tock McRae has extensive experience in civic, economic development, and church leadership. He served as Senior VP and General Counsel at C.H. Gunther & Son and as a Director of the Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce. He has also held leadership roles with Christ Episcopal Church and the Episcopal Diocese of West Texas.
Dora Mendoza
Dora Mendoza retired from the U.S. Probation Office after a 32-year career in criminal justice. She later served as an adjunct professor at San Antonio College and remains active in mentoring and advocacy focused on foster care and children’s mental health.
Jessica Mobley, CPA
Jessica Mobley is a retired senior financial executive from USAA, where she served in executive leadership roles including CFO and Chief Audit Executive. She is an independent board member for Girl Scouts of Southwest Texas and holds NACD Directorship Certification.
Rev. Dr. Joe Moore
Rev. Joe Moore serves as Minister for Older Adults and Congregational Care at First Presbyterian Church. He has more than four decades of ministry experience and holds degrees in biblical studies, divinity, and congregational care. He and his wife, Sandy, live in San Antonio.
Rev. Dr. Robert Ortiz
Rev. Dr. Robert Ortiz is District Superintendent of the Central District of the Rio Texas Conference of the United Methodist Church. He has served churches throughout South Texas and is passionate about church and community collaboration.
Vickie Ragsdale, PhD, RN
Dr. Vickie Ragsdale is an Associate Professor at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center with nearly 30 years of experience in geriatric nursing. She has served on numerous state and professional committees focused on aging and long-term care.
George Scofield
George Scofield is Of Counsel with Norton Rose Fulbright and has over 40 years of experience in healthcare and tax-exempt finance law. He has served in leadership roles with numerous nonprofit and civic organizations throughout San Antonio.
Holly Youngquist
Holly Youngquist is a longtime volunteer and church leader. A Trinity University graduate, she has served as an Elder at First Presbyterian Church and has a personal connection to Morningside Ministries through her family’s residency.
