Edith made the brave decision to move into Morningside Ministries’ independent living community, The Meadows.
With a heavy heart and tears in her eyes, Edith packed a few belongings and made her way to her new home. At first, the transition was difficult for Edith. But as the days passed, she found solace in the company of her fellow residents. They shared stories of their lives — joys and sorrows — and Edith felt a sense of belonging she hadn’t felt since Bill’s passing.

Clara Will Not Lose Her Home…Thanks to YOU!
Your gift ensured Clara will not lose her home due to financial problems!
Clara lost a significant amount of money recently, just like many older people who have been targeted by scammers.
With little money to her name after she was scammed, Clara had a sense of panic washing over her as her bills piled up. How would she pay for her medication? Or her monthly rent? How would she pay for her food? The weight of her financial woes seemed almost too much to bear.
But because you generously gave to the Covenant Fund, Clara did not need to worry anymore. The Covenant Fund is a lifeline to Clara and other residents who need financial assistance.
Overwhelmed with gratitude, Clara is so thankful to you and other generous friends who have come to her aid. When she needed it most, Clara realized that she was not alone. Instead, she was surrounded by a community of people who cared for her and were willing to help her in her moment of crisis.

Because of your generosity, Joe has one less thing to worry about!
Joe has Medicaid, which helps to cover the costs of his care at Morningside Manor.
But it is not nearly enough to cover the whole amount. Texas Medicaid pays less than $160 per day when it costs more than $300 per day for 24-hour care. The gap between what Medicaid paid and the actual cost of Joe’s care seemed insurmountable.
Many older people like Joe have worked hard their entire lives. But unforeseen circumstances have left them with little savings and no other options but to rely on Medicaid and their families for their care expenses. Many families can’t afford to pay for the funding gap themselves.
Through the support of caring friends like you, Joe doesn’t have to worry about how he and his family will pay for the funding gap.
Morningside Ministries depends on a generous community to help the residents who need help the most.
