The Green House model of care is designed to de-institutionalize nursing home life and create an environment in which individuality, freedom, and choice are top priority, eliminating the plagues of loneliness, helplessness, and boredom. The idea is to deliver personal care and clinical support in a living space designed as a private home.
Real Home
Morningside Ministries prioritizes both privacy and community – personal bedrooms and bathrooms for privacy, and ample communal space both indoors and out to host friends and family.
Meaningful Life
The elders who call Morningside Ministries home decide what types of activities they want to pursue, both on site and in the wider community.
Empowered Staff
Frontline caregivers are in the driver’s seat, preparing meals and planning each day around each resident’s needs and wants – based on the deep knowing that comes from more time spent providing direct care and conversation.
